Wedding Day!

Where do I even begin on this day... I was fine until I left my house to go see my mom and to pick up my wedding dress. I picked up my wedding dress at my grandmothers house because that is where we kept it until the wedding. My cousin Christy asked how I was feeling and the tears started pouring... I was not upset but just so overwhelmed with everything going on. I cried the whole way to the Ag Museum... my emotions finally hit!! It was the day, the day I thought would NEVER come and I was so overwhelmed and ready for it to be over. I could not wait to marry my best friend!

I got there and most of my bridesmaids were there... We started on hair and make up. There are some pictures that I may have to add later!
This is my dad and me waiting to go in the church!
I don't know that I have ever held on to something as tight as I did his arm. He just patted my hand and I knew he wouldn't let me fall! As we entered the church, I started to walk in and someone was standing on my dress...haha I looked back and they moved! I think this actually helped calm me down. The service took about 15 min, which was good becuase I think I was shaking so bad I wouldn't of made it much longer!
                                                    First Kiss!!

We had a wonderful reception! Here are some pictures.. Sorry I can not write anymore today!

To catch everyone up...

Since I feel as though I am really begining my life or at least a new chapter in life, I thought I would start a blog to keep everyone up to date. Try to be patient, I am not big on writing nor do I have any idea what to write.... here goes nothing.

July 2011: The man of my dreams asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. At the time I was working at a preschool and he surprised me one afternoon. I was sitting in my classroom when one of the ladies from the office came and got me and told me they needed me in the office... of course my first thought is, "oh know, what have I done!?" To my surprise I turn the corner and see Jason standing there with a bouquet of flowers, I think I probably looked at him like he was crazy. I took the flowers and smelled them, when I pulled them away from my face, he was on one knee, there were gasp all around me from the women in the office and teachers who had stepped out of their rooms. I looked at him and he popped the big question... "will you marry me?" I said, "YES!!!" and so it began...

The next few weeks we talked about dates and dates and dates... Finally we decided March 31, 2012.

The planning began... I have always wanted a small, simple, elegant, wedding. Nothing to big or flashy. I talked with my mom and a few other people and figured out what colors I wanted. We went with black and ivory, because there is so much you can do with these colors ;). I left most of the work up to my mom. She would call me and ask me about different things and I would either give her a, "yes" or "no". Stressing over a wedding is not something I wanted to do. During this time, I choose my maid of honor, matron of honor, and bridesmaids.
From left to right: Amanda-Bridesmaid, Katie- Matron of Honor, me, Danielle-Bridesmaid, Emily- Maid of Honor and Jennifer-Bridesmaid (far left in picture below!

This is all of us together!! I love these girls!!

After about a month of being engaged, I entered Jason and myself in a contest on Facebook. The winners would recieve FREE engagement, bridal, and wedding pictures. I know we both probably drove people nuts trying to get votes, luckily we WON!! Our awesome photographer was Audrey Welch (look her up.. audreywelchphotography). We took our engagements on 10/2/2012. Here are a few...
She is wonderful to say the least!!!

The days get closer and we were so ready for that day to be here! I had my showers and a brunch. We have been so blessed with so many wonderful people in our lives. We got some amazing gifts and a lot of love! Here are a few pictures from all of them!

We are now up to the rehearsal and the BIG day! I am going to end with this but no worries there is more to come!
